IFBA Convention is coming back to New Jersey
The Fire Buff Association of New Jersey is happy to announce that they will be co-hosting the 2011 International Fire Buff Associates Convention. The Fire Buff Association of New Jersey is a group of IFBA Region 9 clubs which include The Bayonne Fire Canteen, The Bell and Siren Club, Box 54 Club, The Gong Club and the South Jersey Fire Photographers. This will be the fourth IFBA convention hosted in New Jersey. The first was in 1956 and was held in Newark; the second was in 1964 and was held in Jersey City; the third was 1989 and was held in Secaucus; and now once again in 2011.
Fire Buff’s from all over the world attend the IFBA Convention each summer. The fire buffs experience the fire service in the area of the country where the convention is held.
The IFBA will be visiting Washington DC in 2009 and Nashville Tennessee in 2010 prior to coming to New Jersey in 2011.
Planning of the convention is in the early stages and as information becomes available, it will be made available to everyone.
